Atwood Area Fall Festival Photo Contest
The intent of this contest is to present the best photography skills possible but at the same time have some fun.
The contest is open to amateur photographers only. There will be a youth (up to 16yrs old) and an adult category.
Fees: $3 per entry
Photos must be delivered to the Atwood Fall Festival Information Booth on September 29th between 2 and 6 pm.
Limit of three (3) photos per person
There are four (4) adult categories, one (1) youth category, and a "judges Award" open to everyone.
ADULT CATEGORIES:
- WINGS:
pictures could include airplanes, insects, birds, angels, butterflies,
etc.
- HALLOWEEN: pictures could include costumes,
lighting, decorations, masks, etc.
- PATHWAYS: pictures could include hiking
trails, dirt roads, animal trails, etc. (paved roads will not be
accepted)
- SPORTS IN ACTION: in addition to the traditional sports - these could include archery, bocci ball, tennis, and any sports action.
PETS: Your pictures may include your dog, cat, fish, snake, hamster, guinea pig, horse, sheep, etc. Pictures taken at zoos, animal ranches and wilds are not acceptable - PETS ONLY
JUDGES AWARD: open to youth and adult
ATWOOD FALL FESTIVAL: it could include pictures at the festival such as: Pow Wow, airplanes, craft booths, people decorations or entertainment
Plaques will be awarded for the first three places in each category. A $5 cash award for first places.
Awards will be presented at 3 pm on Sunday. All pictures will need to be picked up before 5 pm that day at the photo barn located beside the Information booth.
PRINT SIZES:
Each adult entry must be 8"x10" (no bigger / no smaller). Matting is optional but each entry must have a stiff backboard.
Each youth entry must be 5"x7" (no bigger / no smaller). Matting is optional but each entry must have a stiff backboard.
NO Framed pictures will be accepted
Digital correction for color or picture content is not allowed except for red eye correction and cropping.
The Photo Contest Committee reserves the right to reclassify or reject any entry deemed necessary.
Judges may not award three places in each category if the number of entries do not allow.
While reasonable care will be taken, neither the Atwood Area Fall Festival nor the photo committee can guarantee the safety and protection of these photos.
A filled out entry form must be attached to the back of each entry including name, address, picture title, category and telephone number. All fees must be paid at the time of registration.
