The Atwood Area Fall Festival is held at Atwood Lake Park, located off State Route 212 near New Cumberland, Ohio. The event is held each year during the first weekend in October. In cooperation with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, the festival is sponsored and coordinated by the Atwood Area Fall Festival Committee, Inc. this committee is comprised of volunteer representatives from local community civic organizations, Conservancy staff, campers and interested individuals.

The mission of the committee is to enhance the cultural and recreational base of the community and to provide area community service organizations with fund-raising opportunities.

The festival is held rain or shine. There are NO PETS or BICYCLES permitted in the Festival Area.
